Brawler

From Lotro-Wiki.com

Class Difficulty: Advanced
Role: Tank/Damage
Available to races: Dwarf, Elf, High Elf, Hobbit, Man, River Hobbit, Stout-axe
Gameplay: Brawlers are aggressive melee fighters who wield a unique resource called Mettle to maximize their damage and fuel their most powerful skills. Although their offensive capabilities truly shine in one-on-one combat, they are not without recourse when faced with multiple enemies. In fellowships, a Brawler's abrasive nature helps them hold the ire of their foes and keep their allies safe.
Lore: Brawlers are formidable fighters whose bold manoeuvres can topple their foes and safeguard their allies.
This class is inspired by Helm Hammerhand, who to the astonishment of many, would take to the battlefield barehanded.

Role

Brawlers provide invaluable support to the Fellowship in any role they choose to play. With powerful abilities like Strike as One! and One for All, allies are more durable and deal more damage when a Brawler is in the Fellowship. Brawlers also share their innate powers with the group when they reach maximum potency.

Tank Brawlers are among the strongest Tanks. They are famously hard to defeat, and have access to strong defensive abilities like Weather Blows and Plant Feet (Brawler). Through the use of their Mettle Shield, their prowess in one-on-one combat is unmatched.

Brawlers who choose to deal damage use their Gauntlets to strike their enemies, dealing immediate AoE Damage.

Mettle

Mettle display showing 8 Mettle

Mettle is a skill resource used by Brawlers. Certain skills build Mettle (up to a maximum of nine) while others spend it. When out of combat, Brawlers will gradually decrease Mettle down to three.

The Brawler gains increased damage from each point of Mettle they have, tracked through the  Battle Flow effect.
