Mettle
Mettle is a skill resource used by Brawlers. Certain skills build Mettle (up to a maximum of nine) while others spend it. When out of combat, Brawlers will gradually decrease Mettle down to three.
The Brawler gains increased damage from each point of Mettle they have, tracked through the Battle Flow effect.

Trait, Skill, and Tracery Interactions
The trait Revel in Victory in the Maelstrom trait tree grants Mettle over time after defeating an enemy.
The skill Efficient Strikes in the Fundament trait tree reduces the Mettle cost of Spender skills by one.
The trait Battle-wise in the Fundament trait tree gives Set-up skills a chance to generate bonus Mettle.
The trait Deft Feint in the Fundament trait tree causes Quick Feint to generate an additional three Mettle.
The Tracery Battle-wise Mettle Chance increases the bonus Mettle chance of Battle-wise.
Visual Effects
Besides the meter on the bottom left of your screen, your Brawler will also show this effect whenever they are generating Mettle.
