Located just to the east of the North-South Road (called the old Greenway by Bree-men), in the days of the kingdom of Arnor this fort stood guard over then busy traffic leading to and from Fornost Erain. Now it is little more than a ruined monument to that fallen kingdom and a shelter for local wildlife.
