Herne is a settlement located within the area of Ruddymore, in the region of Cardolan. [49.8S, 45.0W]
The town of Herne, southwest of Caranost, was settled by Bree-folk and quickly grew into a trading town where several roads join to form a crossroads. While never seeing the same growth as the city of Bree to the north, Herne has many of the amenities one would expect in a settlement of its size and serves as a beacon to those who wish to one day restore Cardolan to its former glory.
Lately, the passing of Black Riders through the city have stirred up all manner of evil and put the townsfolk on edge.

Auction Hall
The Auction Hall can be found on the western side of the upper streets of Herne. [49.6S, 45.2W]
It is here the townsfolk and traders come to access their vaults and barter their goods.
Crossway House
Crossway House is the inn and tavern of Herne. [50.3S, 44.9W]
Crossway House is run by Maddoc and frequented by many of the residents of Herne as well as the odd traveller passing through town.

The Hall of Crafts can be found on the south-western side of the upper streets of Herne. [49.6S, 45.1W]
This is the indoor craft-faire of Herne, run by Alwena, who stands outside. It is host to all crafting services a tradesman could need minus farmland.
