The South Downs is an area in the region of Cardolan in the eastern and north-eastern region.

Bordering the Lone-lands to the north and the Trollshaws to the east, the South Downs of Cardolan are hilly, wide, and dotted with ruins of old Arnor. A river flowing down from the Midgewater Marshes in Bree-land serves as a border with Southern Andrath in the north-west.

Hove and Scurloc Farms are central in the area, while the old city of Caranost sits to the west and the monuments & tombs of Amon Firn and Haudh Nírui sit to the east, overlooking the River Greyflood. Goblins hold a much stronger presence in the South Downs as opposed to the rest of Cardolan.

Farmland and a Workbench can be found at Scurloc Farm while the Cardolan Reflecting Pool and the Quartermaster for the Dúnedain of Cardolan are located at Sírlond.
