-
The Forant originates from a steep ravine directly north of Minas Tirith, where the water makes its way down from the peaks of the White Mountains.
-
A small waterfall marks the river's entrance into the Pelennor Fields, not far from the northernmost parapets of the White City's outer wall.
-
The towers of Osgiliath can be seen in the distance as the Forant continues east-wards.
-
Barricades guard a shallow crossing of the river where the road leads towards the North-gate of the Rammas Echor.
-
As the Forant begins to turn north, it is joined by the outlet of the Cisterns of Minas Tirith.
-
The river passes beneath the Outer Wall of the Rammas and exits the Pelennor.
-
Flowing through the remains of a broken bridge, the Forant continues to the north-east through Talath Anor.
-
Another waterfall approaches as the distant forests of North Ithilien come into view.
-
Clear skies grant the Forant's water a sparkling shimmer as it makes its way down the small waterfall.
-
Another barricade guards the northern shore of the last ford, where the road to Crithost crosses the river.
-
The waters part around a small island as the Forant passes into the woods to the north of Parth Gladló.
-
Reeds line the shores as the Forant's waters finally merge into the great Anduin, just out of view from Osgiliath.
