Description
The Limlight River is a tributary of the mighty Anduin River, running through the Great River region. It runs from the Misty Mountains over the Limlight Falls and through the dangerous Limlight Gorge area, then past Stangard, the most northerly of the Rohirrim towns, and joining the Anduin in the Rushgore swamp.

The Limlight pours down from the Misty Mountains in a series of waterfalls, entering the Limlight Gorge of the Great River region.
-
After the river's first crossing, a fallen tree bridge leading up to the Limlight Glade and the Limlight Falls, the river continues down the gorge through a series of short falls..
-
Though one side of the river is dominated by the cliffside of Wildermore, the other is lightly inhabited. Among the structures the river passes is an Old Sawmill.
-
The Fallen Tower is another structure close to the river, and the Cuthstan on the hill appears to be pointing down the river's course towards Rohan.
-
The Rohirrim have attempted to construct a bridge to Wildermore, though all the workers have been slain by orcs.
-
As the river passes Stangard to the north, the canyon becomes completely impassable except by swimming.
-
The view from outside Stangard's walls shows the river's next course, south of the Parth Celebrant.
-
The landscape slowly flattens out. The Abandoned Farm lies next to its river before it turns in a more directly eastern direction.
-
As the Limlight passes the Hordfierd, the river's south bank finally becomes flat enough to traverse.

The river's only significant crossing is the bridge from haunted Ost Celebrant into Rohan.
