Rhunenlad (Sindarin for East-plain) is an area in the eastern part of the North Downs. ^{[11.5S, 37.4W]}

It lies east of Esteldín, southwest of Nan Amlug East, and north of Dol Dínen.

Rhunenlad is partly covered by forest and hillocks, and features the Angmarian path that runs through the area to the orc-infested hills in the south. At its utmost north-western corner is found the secret and narrow mountain trail to the ranger-city of Esteldín.

In Rhunenlad, huge but harmless hoar-mantles are roaming, herded by violent Rauta-lehmä giants. There are also wargs and bats. Cautious hunters find this area rich of meat and hide. Embers and smoke drift about the scorched grass becoming more desolate the closer one ventures towards the war-torn orc fortress of Dol Dínen. A pair of orc camps sit on the border of this aforementioned valley giving a hint of the shear volume of enemy forces that lie within.

In a mountain pocket to the south-west is a Camp Site Fire with a Mustering Horn that mainly serves the warriors aiming at Dol Dínen.
