Calenhir

The Calenhir (Green River in Sindarin), is a river in Gondor. It flows east from the Pinnath Gelin into the Morthond.

Its name seems to mean "Green River" in Sindarin, from calen ("green") + lenited sîr ("river").

Though most of its long course is unaccessible since the bridge to Anfalas is broken, the final stretch is Calenhir is just visible.
The name Calenhir means "Green River", and indeed its waters do seem to hold a green hue, reflective of its surroundings as it is.
The Calenhir merges its flow with that of the Morthond in Tarlang's Crown in Western Gondor.
