The Bruinen river is also known as the "Loudwater", a direct translation of its Sindarin name. The Bruinen arises in the Misty Mountains, flows through Rivendell, and down south through the Trollshaws, forming part of the northern border of Eregion. It eventually joins with the Hoarwell, from where the large joined river is known as the Greyflood.
