No one ever reads the manual, anyway. :) When in doubt, never hesitate to ask! Special:RecentChanges can tip you off on who's been around lately - we're a little shorter on hands than years ago, but badger people enough and you'll get some enlightenment (squeaky wheel, grease, all that). Look forward to your work, no matter how minor! Sethladan 18:30, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Moria updates

1- When you insert a "Category" in text - place a colon ":" infront of the word "Category" or it will "Categorize" that page, rather than display the text as you intended. Category:A Faint Gleam Quests. "Categorize" means to place that page into the "Category" indicated at the bottom of the page.
2- The "Notes" section of the Quest: Faint But Fierce lists the quests where the other 2 piece of the jewellery may be found. If correct, please consider adding (copying) that same note to the other relevant quests.
3- Both have been restored.
4- Consider making the entry "questchain = A Faint Gleam" - common across all of the related quests, instead of the "questgroup" - Personally, I would leave the "questgroup" blank. This was a mechanic used by Turbine many years ago, which they have stopped using in recent revision.
Quests in Moria were "reorganized" here on the Wiki some time ago, prior to the two significant revisions to Moria done by Turbine in Update 7 (Dev Diary no longer on-line) and
Update 9 https://www.lotro.com/en/game/articles/update-9-revisiting-mines-moria-part-ii.

Another quick tip

At the risk of seeming to hover over your shoulder like a certain overinvolved physics professor of mine... :)

When you add a link to a quest or item article (like Quest:Faint But Fierce), you can hide the "Quest:" part by sticking a vertical pipe character (|) just before the closing brackets, thus Quest:Faint But Fierce yields Faint But Fierce. This is often a little more aesthetically appealing and how we usually display links to those kinds of pages.

You'll find that once you save the page, the Quest:Faint But Fierce has been expanded to Faint But Fierce by the wiki software (check the Edit tab again after saving) and, because I suspect you have a natural knack for this stuff, will guess that this is the general way of renaming links (so when I want to point to your user page, for example...).

Carry forth! Sethladan 21:59, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

...Are you serious? *tries it* Omigosh, I wish I'd known this trick earlier! >_< -Laineth (talk) 16:49, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
I promise I wasn't keeping you in the dark on purpose, Laineth! Hopefully this will save you a few million keystrokes going forward. Sethladan 18:55, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
