Adorn

The Adorn is a fairly short yet politically important river that arises in the White Mountains, flowing north-westward to join the River Isen roughly 150 miles west of the Gap of Rohan at the borders of Enedwaith.

Together with the much longer Isen, the Adorn forms the western border of the Kingdom of Rohan. The triangular region of land enclosed by the Isen, the Adorn, and the White Mountains is named West-march and is nominally part of Rohan, but during the late Third Age it is a contested area between the Rohirrim and the Dunlendings. Together with the Isen, the Adorn defines the western border between Rohan and Eriador, but Lord Freca held lands on both sides of the river around T.A. 2758.

The meaning of the name Adorn is unknown.

The Adorn is not yet accessible in-game, lying a ways to the west of the Gap of Rohan and southwest of Dunland.
