Lands of Middle-earth are represented on the map as the first layer when viewing the map of Middle-earth, (press m key or click on the map button on radar)

Currently the six accessible lands in Lord of the Rings Online are the western plains of Eriador, the wilderness of Rhovanion, sprawling reaches of Rohan, the kingdom of Gondor, the wasteland of Mordor, and the deserts of Haradwaith.

Eriador

Eriador is found in the western part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of many regions from Ered Luin in the west to the Misty Mountains in the east, and from Forochel in the north to Dunland in the south.

Gondor

Gondor is found in the south part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of many regions from Outer Gondor in the west to Eastern Gondor in the east, and from the Wastes in the north to Central Gondor in the south. It is unique in that many of the regions have both 'before the War' and 'after the War' versions. These 'after the War' versions are often referred to as "King's Gondor".

Haradwaith

Haradwaith is found in the south-east part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of Umbar and the Shield Isles.

Mordor

Mordor is found in the south-east part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of several regions, the main being the Plateau of Gorgoroth in the central western region of the map.

Rhovanion

Rhovanion is found in the north-east part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of many regions from Ered Mithrin and the Iron Hills in the north to Lothlórien and Moria in the south. It includes the lands on either side of the Anduin River and the forests of Mirkwood.


Rohan

Rohan is land in central part of the map of Middle-earth.

It is comprised of many regions from West Rohan in the west, East Rohan in the east, and the Great River in the north.
