The Stone-trolls' Glade is a point of interest within North Trollshaws, in the Trollshaws. [31.2S, 18.2W]
Located in a narrow passage between Nan Tornaeth and North Trollshaws, curious explorers may yet today find the remains of Bert, Tom and Bill. Yes, this is the place where Bilbo Baggins and his dwarven friends were kept in sacks by the stone trolls. However, Gandalf tricked them into arguing until dawn, when they were turned to stone statues by the light of day. This is the true tale as told in The Hobbit and it took place about 77 years ago.
