Mounted Combat Related Information

With the release of Riders of Rohan, there are many overlapping areas of information between the War-steed and Mounted Combat. The information is split to improve readability. Common Information

Warbands are contingents of roving enemies that have been scouted all over the Plains of Rohan! It falls to you to head off and defeat this threat before they over take the land.

Warbands are elite groups of enemies. Warbands can travel over large distances and are frequently better dealt with by a group of players, rather than solo.

• When encountered, that is to say, when you are in their vicinity, a Warband will bestow a Landscape quest.
  • You must accept the quest to obtain the rewards.
  • Warbands are "dailies" -- they can be defeated for rewards once each day.
  • "Dailies" reset every day at 3:00 a.m. server time.
• Warbands are found in all areas of East Rohan except The Eaves of Fangorn and the East Wall, as well as West Rohan.

• Warbands can be seen on your Radar as a Red Star and on the Main map as a Red Shield with crossed swords on it. Mousing over this symbol will tell you which Warband it is.
• Warbands are named for their leader, the principal enemy in the wardband, i.e. Cinder, Skútog, etc.
• The leader is typically accompanied by two to six allies or Minions, but some wander about solo.
• These enemies are set for Open Tapping – where anyone can contribute, even ungrouped, and get xp, credit and loot for defeating the warband.

• The Warband will reset if you don't hit it or get hit by it periodically, or you stray too far from its initial position.
