Falathlorn (Sindarin for Water's Shore) is an area in south-eastern Ered Luin. [23.5S, 93.2W]
This is a beautiful spring-time area of the Blue Mountains mainly populated by Elves. It rises majestically above river Lhûn that runs past its east border, and through it where the Eastway crosses the river eastwards. Falathlorn is directly connected with seven other areas, counting the Yondershire in the east, Falathlorn Homesteads in the southeast, Celondim in the south, Limael's Vineyard in the southwest, Rath Teraig in the west, Haudh Lin in the north, and Kheledûl in the northeast.
New elf and dwarf characters will pass through Falathlorn after some time in Celondim and the Low Lands respectively. Duillond provides them with good services and merchants for the time they stay.
During festivals the amount of visitors for the Festival Garden quickly wakes up this otherwise drowsy area. Shrew-stomping at the Spring Festival is popular, but each season has its speciality.
