Orodost (Sindarin for Mountain Fortress) is a landmark within the Vale of Thrain, in Ered Luin. ^{[20.2S, 102.3W]}

In the south-west corner of the vale the road to Sarnúr runs through a narrow pass where an old, yet strong fortress built by the dwarves stands. However, centuries ago it fell into despair and was abandoned. Recently goblins from the south have laid claim to it and are using it as a base of operations to push further into the vale.
