Background
You have been called to Orthanc to appear before the Wizard Saruman.
Objective 1
Fâsh has brought you inside Orthanc and is waiting to speak with you.
- Fâsh : 'Well, you're here. This is as far as I go. Follow the stairs straight up and don't wander. The Old Man will know if you do!'
- Fâsh says, "Follow the steps. It won't be my head if you poke your nose where it don't belong."
Objective 2
- Explore the tower of Orthanc
You have been summoned inside Orthanc to present yourself to Saruman and have been ordered not to stray from the path.
Burglar:
- The words of Galadriel before her Mirror surface in your memory.
- 'A great tower in moonlight, a shadow against the sky.'
- 'The stairs are watched.'
- 'I cannot see how you come to this place, Burglar... nor how you could leave it.'
- 'But the Mirror shows many things, and not all of them may come to pass.'
- Urbhár says, "Where do you think you're going, sneak?"
- Saruman says, "You truly are a burglar at heart, <name>."
- Saruman says, "Did you think to prowl unnoticed throughout Orthanc?"
- Saruman says, "Nothing moves within this tower without my knowing of it."
- Saruman says, "I want to help you, <name>. We have much to discuss."
Lore-Master:
- 'The words of Galadriel before her Mirror surface in your memory.'
- 'The prize of knowledge, it waits, ripe for the taking.'
- 'A library at the pinnacle of the black spire, secrets untold.'
- 'Enemies without...and within...'
- How far will your heart take you for limitless knowledge, Lore-master?'
- Examine the Mysterious Tome:
- Saruman says, "Is your thirst for knowledge so strong, <name>?"
- Saruman says, "I see it in your eyes, <class>. I can help you quench that thirst."
- Saruman says, "Many are the tomes I have collected over the long years of my service in Middle-earth."
- Saruman says, "They are at your disposal, if you wish it. But we will speak first of other matters."
- Saruman says, "Come closer, <name>."

- Talk to Saruman in the tower of Orthanc
Saruman has brought you to a library within his tower of Orthanc.
- Saruman: 'We have much to discuss, <name>. I am Saruman the Wise, and I know much that might surprise you, but still there are mysteries. I need your help.
- 'Together, we can learn much that would otherwise remain hidden. There is much we could accomplish.'
Objective 4
- Listen to Saruman within Orthanc
Saruman has brought you to a library within his tower of Orthanc
- Saruman says, "Your own endeavour has ended in defeat, <name>."
- Saruman says, "You have ridden a long road, but have accomplished nothing."
- Saruman says, "And what has it cost you? The lives of friends."
- Saruman says, "Abandon this foolish journey, <name>. Join me in my pursuit."
- The Voice of Saruman has an odd quality to it. You must /resist its power.

- Gun Ain says, "I am here, my lord."
Objective 12
You have not seen the Angmarim once known as Avair since you were in Forochel. Her name was taken from her and now she serves Saruman as Gun Ain, 'Without Name.'
- You have not seen this Angmarim woman since you left the north-lands. When last you saw her, she had been cast out by her clan for dishonouring them. Her name was taken from her, and she became known as Gun Ain: without name.
- She survived in the wastes of Forochel by stealing food from the Lossoth hunters once their prey was felled. Lothrandir gave her a bag of food to last until she could rebuild the wreckage of her life.
- What is she doing here?
Objective 13
- Listen to Saruman within Orthanc
You have not seen the Angmarim once known as Avair since you were in Forochel. Her name was taken from her, and now she serves Saruman as Gun Ain, 'Without Name.'
- Saruman says, "You have left a trail of hatred behind you, <name>!"
- Saruman says, "Gun Ain followed your company down from the north, biding her time."
- Saruman says, "Sometimes she lost your trail, but always she would find it again."
- Saruman says, "That is when I found her."
- Saruman says, "She did my work in Enedwaith and Dunland, and for that she will be rewarded."
- Gun Ain says, "You will give me my name? Once I kill <name>?"
- Saruman says, "Yes. You will no longer be Gun Ain. But not yet."
- Saruman says, "I want you to consider my offer, <name>. You will work for Morflak while you decide."

- Gun Ain: 'I will bring you to Morflak. But soon I will kill you, and I will kill your friend Lothrandir, and I will earn my new name. My master has promised.'
