Walkthrough & Notes

Although the wrapper quest-bestowal text referred to a river crossing, there is no such crossing in the instance. The first objective states to clear the tower courtyard, which means you only need to kill all defenders inside the couryard (8 normal, and 1 elite), until the scout appears. If you manage to enter the couryard without being seen (e.g. stealthed Burglar), you don't need to kill the defenders outside.

Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue Speak with Hithriel and let them know that you are ready to investigate the tower. Background A particularly brutal Orc captain has made the old tower of Tharbad his base of operations. The mission giver has asked you to clear the courtyard approaching the tower of defenders to open the way for an attack on the tower itself. Objective 1 Clear the tower courtyard of defenders Clear the tower courtyard of defenders. With the courtyard cleared, a scout approaches Objective 2 Approach the scout to return to camp Approach the scout to return to camp. Objective 3 Completed The tower courtyard has been cleared of foes. Speak with Hithriel in order to continue your assault. Scout: 'Let us return to Hithriel.'
