Description

Kûgrun, the Golden Sanctuary is an area within Imhûlar, in Haradwaith.

This hidden vale in the southwestern hills of Imhûlar has been saved from Pale Blight by the presence of Cúridwan, the Golden Maiden. Here, an offshoot of the Barûg river tumbles through, and the small dale is covered with wildflowers, trees and grasses. Cúridwan's own dwelling and flower trellises are the only structures here, and the Golden Maiden herself adds to the mystic atmosphere of Kûgrun. Although the access to Kûgrun is direct from a cave opening in Tir Khûl, this entrance is revealed only to those who are invited. [41.8S, 66.3W]

The location of the sanctuary is known to only a few- even among the Kintai of Vartúlin, who sought the legend of Cúridwan through Usakâr the Hermit. Kûgrun is protected from the Lâg Dávrit, the blight that afflicts Imhûlar.
