Description

The Woods of Burush Dûr is an area within Imhûlar, in Haradwaith.

These northwestern wooded cliffs of Imhûlar stretch between the two bridges, the Span of Danagír and the Span of Nâmbadir. The greenest part of the region, the woods shelter plenty of wildlife such as boars, deer, scorpions and servals, and the humidity of both the Ikorbân and the Barûg rivers nourish the plantlife as well, allowing for trees, flowers, herbs and grasses to sprout. This is in sharp contrast to the rest of Imhûlar which has been struck by the Pale Blight. The most striking feature of the woods is the great Watcher of Urmâkh, a massive lion carved directly into the mountainside, although it is only visible from outside the woods themselves, across the rivers. The Woods of Burush Dûr lie west of the valley of Namushâr and north of the haunted forest of Tir Khûl. West across the bridge of Danagír lie the ancient canyons of Tûl Kesh, while crossing the Ikorbân leads to Mûr Abal in Ambarûl and the steep gorges of Namushâr in Urash Dâr.
