Vendor and Travel Discounts

General

There are two types of discounts available in Middle-earth:

• - Vendor Discounts
• - Travel Discounts

Both are "Passive" skills, appearing on the Skills Panel, the Passive tab, under Discounts.

Passive skills are applied automatically. No action is necessary on the part of the player to invoke them.

Most Reputation Factions provides one of each:

• The Vendor Discount is typically awarded upon achieving Ally status with a particular Reputation Faction, and typically amounts to 5%
• The Travel Discount is typically awarded upon achieving Friend status with a particular Reputation Faction and amounts to 10%

Factions not listed in the table below do NOT offer either a Travel or Vendor discount.

The travel discounts are additive, including:

• Founders received a 20% Travel Discount.

• East Rohan Factions offer no Vendor Discounts. All offer 25% Travel Discounts.

Housing Vendor Discounts

• If you own a personal house, all characters on your account, Receive a 10% Discount from the Vendors in the town square of your Neighbourhood in your Homestead area.
• If you are a member of a Kinship, and your Kinship Hall is in the same Homestead, the discount rises to 20% -- per character who is a member of that Kinship.

If your Kinship Hall and Personal House are in different Homestead areas, you receive a 15% discount from vendors in both Homestead areas.
