Completing this quest advanced the deed: Year Eleven in Middle-earth. Search for the Precious in Gollum's Cave which is a landmark within Goblin-town in the Misty Mountains. [21.8S, 6.2E] Check Goblin Town Map for a route to the cave. Gather Remembrences in Gollum's Cave. [21.8S, 6.2E] Abandoned Shackles can be found along the road west of Barad-dûr. [46.5S, 22.6E] Find the cell [47.3N, 125.3W] where Gollum was held by the Wood-elves in Felegoth. [20.3N, 36.9W] Visit Garbert's Cottage which is located in the Trollshaws to complete the 'A Trap for the Creature' instance. [38.3S, 14.5W] Visit the base of the tree [16.2S, 73.4W] Talan Haldir in Lothlórien. [16.2S, 73.5W] Swim in the Anduin river in a cove south-east of Floodwend. [46.2S, 46.3W], [46.2S, 45.8W], [46.5S, 46.1W], [47.0S, 46.0W] You may not need to swim if on the southern shoreline. Gather Remembrances in the Dead Marshes and in the Noman-lands. Dead Marshes. Visit the Memory of the Ring-bearer south of the Camp of the Host in North Ithilien and experience the instance 'The Precious, At Last' in Sammath Naur. [41.7S, 10.3W] Swim in the Forbidden Pool, located at the bottom of the waterfall near Henneth Annûn. [48.3S, 8.5W] Listen to a gossip in one of the markets of Dal. Bestowal dialogue This scavenger hunt card has a list of things to find. They could be anywhere! Unlike the others, this card can be finished by completing any ten of the eleven objectives. Background Every year in the spring, the Anniversary Scavenger Hunt takes place to celebrate a very special occasion. NOTE: This quest will be removed from your quest log when the current festival ends. Objective 1 Search for the Precious in Gollum's Cave 'Gone, gone! the Precious is lost!' Gather remembrances in Gollum's cave (0/3) You think of the years Gollum spent beneath the mountains, gnawing on his misfortunes Find the open shackles along the road west of Barad-dûr 'They held him long, and set him loose on an errand of mischief. But his worst mischief had been done.' Find the cell where Gollum was held by the Wood-elves in Felegoth 'On days of fair weather we let him from his cell, allowing him to climb a tree in the woods. An excess of kindness, perhaps, for he escaped us.' Visit the Memory of the Creature at Garbert's Cottage to experience 'A Trap for the Creature' Memory of the Creature: Folk whispered of some new terror abroad: a shadow that drank blood. It climbed trees in search of nests, and slipped through windows seeking unguarded cradles. Along the banks of the river, a plan was formed to catch the beast and put an end to its hunger. This is a Solo quest and cannot be completed with a Fellowship. Find the base of the tree Gollum climbed in pursuit of Frodo, on the edge of Lothlórien 'Whatever it was, it was not an orc. It fled as soon as I touched the trunk of the tree.' Swim in the Anduin south-east of Floodwend 'Since we boarded the boats, Gollum has been lying on a log and paddling with his hands and feet. He follows us still.'
