Description

Ashâgir is an old fortress in the cliffs of western Urash Dâr. ^{[19.6S, 70.0W]} The road up to Ashâgir can be found on the northern edge of Tûkurdul, though the kergrim below endanger it. ^{[20.6S, 71.9W]}

Built high in the cliffs and eminently defensible, Ashâgir was the last refuge of the last king of Hamât when the Ordâkhai invaded from the south. He ordered the fortress destroyed rather than cede it to the enemy, and died here. Few people remain now, and the lift to the canyon floor far below has been non-operational for a long time.
