Personality Description: Thrandriol does not believe in the concept of good and evil, choosing instead to believe that anyone can make evil decisions, yet also can make good decisions.

Ancestry

Thrandriol Elmar is directly descended from an unbroken line going all the way back to the founder of the ancient and obscure House of Elmar in the village of Agar. Though Elmar herself is rumored to be indirectly descended from the House of Elros through either Tindómiel, the daughter of Elros, Manwendil, the second son of Elros, or Atanalcar, the third son of Elros. Regardless of which one of the three it is, Thrandriol is without a doubt indirectly decended from the House of Elros.

One of Thrandriol-Elmar's most infamous ancestors was a man named Poldor-Elmar, who was the son of Tal-Elmar who was the son of Hazad Longbeard who was the son of Elmar. Poldor was the Numenorean captain of the guard during Ar-Pharazôn's reign. However, Captain Poldor was among the King's Men as well as among those who were corrupted by Sauron to worship Melkor. Despite this, he still cared for and loved his family eventhough they were among the Faithful. When Ar-Pharazôn first set sail to Amen, Captain Poldor went with him only after he arranged for his family to be given passage to Middle-Earth. Despite his final act of goodness, his name was cursed by his family, due to Poldor-Elmar's fanatical worship of Melkor and support of Sauron.

Upon arriving in Middle-Earth, Poldor's family was given a lordship and a very small plot of land in the kingdom of Arnor. They remained neutral during the War of The Last Alliance. Over the course of many centuries in the early Third Age, the hyphen connecting family members to Elmar herself was faded out of traditional use and became lost to time. Thus the Elmar name became the surname of the family rather than the ancient tradition that was begun by Hazad Longbeard when he named his son, Tal-Elmar, after Elmar, his own mother.

After the death of the High King Eärendur III, the Elmars' ended up as part of Rhudaur when Arnor split. At one point in time, one of Thrandriol's ancestors seized the throne of Rhudaur and the great fortress of Tol Ascarnen when the current king, who was of the Dunedain, failed to provide the necessary resources for the people as well as entering into an unnecessary war with Cardolan by assassinating their king. The new King of Rhudaur, known as King Abb Elmar, soon was able to secure a trade agreement with Angmar when Arthedain and Cardolan withheld the necessary food shipments needed to survive. This trade agreement was what led Rhudaur to align with Angmar when Angmar invaded Arthedain and Cardolan. When the Last Prince of Cardolan tried to surrender, offering terms which included sending food shipments to Rhudaur, the King Abb was originally going to accept the surrender and back out of the alliance with Angmar. However, Angmar swept in, finishing off Cardolan and raising the Barrow-Wrights to haunt their lands. At this point, some brainwashed hillmen of Rhudaur rebelled against the king, wanting to stay with Angmar as they worshiped the Witch-King. King Abb Elmar was assassinated and his heir was forced into exile. A year later, Rhudaur and Angmar were destroyed by Gondor and Lindon. The descendants of the House of Elmar roamed Eriador, seeking to spread knowledge of their true history, redeeming the legacy of Rhudaur. they also wished to purge Arda, particularly the Barrow-Downs, of the undead.

Bio

Thrandriol Elmar is a direct descendent of the House of Elmar. He has traveled all throughout Eriador, spreading kindness to whomever he comes into contact with. All the while, he kept hidden his identity as the rightful heir of the true Rhudaur. His kind nature knows no bound, as even Orcs and other evil creatures have felt the effects of his kindness, even if it was all for nought. Thrandriol has fought for the Dunlandings as well as the Drúedain against Rohan before during the only time he had ever traveled outside of Eriador. That incident resulted in his everlasting banishment from Rohan. The Dunlandings were so impressed with Thrandriol that they gave him a horse named Windfoot that had just so happened to be the first and only horse to willingly betray Rohan. However, this whole incident happened when Thrandriol was nineteen and he had at the time assumed that the Rohirrim only recently drove out the Dunlandings, raiding as they pleased, as well as hearing how the Rohirrim hunted the Drúedain, believing them to be only a little bit better than Orcs. Thrandriol had changed since then, in order to avoid further incidents from happening again. Recently, he found himself captured in a cell after beginning an investigation into the so called Blackwold brigands.
