Description
Telperiën's Wall separates Ambarûl in the Ikorbân Valley from the Cape of Umbar.
The wall is a Númenórean construction, built between 1556 and 1731 of the Second Age during the rule of Tar-Telperiën, intended to protect Umbar Baharbêl- known then as Vëalondë- from the inland peoples. It was partially destroyed by earthquakes later in the Second Age, and destroyed further by the Hamâti in the Third Age during their conquest of Umbar. The wall also marked the furthest edge of Gondor's influence around Umbar prior to the Hamâti.
