All progress is retained on defeat, or if leaving and re-entering the mission. Since this mission is located in Elderslade, if the War of Three Peaks expansion has not already been purchased on the account, the Get this region! popup appears when zoning into the instance, even though that expansion is not necessary to access the mission. There are approximately 15 Iron Crown creatures in the instance, so it is possible to bypass a few on the way to the end boss. It is advisable to clear around the boss-fight area, however, to prevent accidental aggro. It is the Iron Crown Wardens who use the Mission Twist  Twist: Burning Shield. The induction can be interrupted, but once applied, the corruption is not removable, and can be stacked to high levels. BEWARE Iron Crown Sentinels have a  Poison Arrow attack. At approximately 40% morale, the Dourhand gate-keeper attempts to use an induction ability shown as Pride. This is interruptible, but it is not advisable to do so, since the only effect of the ability appears to be a depletion of all the creature's power, thus making him less of a threat. Pride goeth before a fall. Occasionally, the banner is unselectable. Leaving and re-entering the instance appears to fix this, as does running south to the first Iron Crown banner and back.

Upon completing the mission, you will find a "Mission Reward" chest containing: about 250 Silver (level dependent) 1 to 3 Tokens of the Kharum-ubnâr

Defeat the gate-keeper and tear down the banner of the Iron Crown!'  Twist: Burning Shield Background Far to the north of Annâk-khurfu lies Rathad Caul, the Narrow Way, a treacherous passage into Câr Bronach. There, those still loyal to the Iron Crown guard the approach to the last bastions of Angmar. Objective 1 Defeat servants of the Iron Crown at Rathad Caul (0/10) Your mission is to defeat the Dourhand gate-keeper guarding Rathad Caul and tear down the banner of the Iron Crown. Objective 2 Summon and defeat the Dourhand gate-keeper You have drawn the attention of the Dourhand gate-keeper! Dourhand gate-keeper : 'Who dares summon me?' (alternative dialogue, randomly-selected) Dourhand gate-keeper : 'None may enter Câr Bronach!' Dourhand gate-keeper : 'Have you come to kneel before the Iron Crown?' Dourhand gate-keeper : 'Lord Brathar does not suffer intruders!' Dourhand gate-keeper : 'I... will... be avenged...!'
