Walkthrough & Notes

All progress is retained on defeat, or if leaving and re-entering the mission. All mobs in the instance count as Frost-horde for purposes of meeting the quest objective. Frost-bound Squall-shapers cast an interruptible Hrímil's Power Unleashed, which creates a "blizzard" (swirling vortex of frost), which causes  Might of Hrímil, while in its area of effect. In addition to also having a Hrímil's Power Unleashed ability, Fierce Cold-drakes also possess  Aura: Chilling Cold. Cold-whelplings cast Breath of Ice, which causes damage and potentially places a  Cold Vulnerability debuff on its foes. They can also place a "puddle" which causes  Slowing Chill and  Freezing Metal as long as one remains in the puddle. All of the Massive Chunks of Ice are located in the north part of the main courtyard.

Upon completing the mission, you will find a "Mission Reward" chest containing: about 250 Silver (level dependent) 1 to 3 Tokens of the Kharum-ubnâr

Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue 'You are to travel to the gates and attempt to breach the ice preventing the Gabil'akkâ from entering Mount Gundabad. Do not remain there longer than you must!'  Twist: Hrímil's Chosen Background By the breath of Hrímil Frost-heart, the gates of Gundabad were sealed shut. If the Dwarves of the Gabil'akkâ intend to enter the sacred mountain, they shall first have to overcome the towering wall of ice that separates them from their prize. Objective 1 Attempt to breach the ice sealing Mount Gundabad (0/6) Defeat the Frost-horde at Mount Gundabad (0/14) Your mission is to repel the Frost-horde and attempt to breach the ice sealing the gates of Mount Gundabad. (while attempting to break ice) A few small fragments break loose, but the ice resists your efforts MISSION COMPLETE! Objective 2 Talk to Vorthur Smokebreath A longbeard scout has arrived to escort you back to Akrâz-zahar! Longbeard Scout shouts : Great work, <name>! Now, let's get out of here! 'You have done enough for now, <name>! Let us leave this place before the Frost-horde overruns us!'
