Description

Lady Galadriel is a royal Elf of both the Noldor and the Teleri, being a grandchild of King Finwë and close kin of King Ingwë of the Vanyar through her grandmother Indis. She had a daughter, Celebrían, making her Elrond's mother-in-law and Arwen's grandmother. She is the bearer of the ring Nenya, one of the three rings of power given to the Elves. Towards the end of her stay in Middle-earth she was co-ruler of Lothlórien along with her husband, Lord Celeborn, and was referred to variously as the Lady of Lórien, the Lady of the Galadhrim, Lady of Light or the Lady of the Wood.

Galadriel is most often found in the House of Celeborn or the Court of Lothlórien, but she leaves the Golden Wood at the end of the War of the Ring and afterwards, to journey to Gondor for the wedding of Arwen and Aragorn. She can be found in Merethrond after the wedding ceremony, seated at the high table between Elrond and Celeborn. She is seen also as an echo in Minas Morgul.
