Isengard Way-points

With the release of Update 13: The Breaking of Isengard, there are two unique visions of Isengard presented to the player.

• Isengard Before the Battle of the Hornburg.
• Isengard After the Battle of the Hornburg.

The events which take place with the Breaking of Isengard take place concurrently with the Battle of the Hornburg at the end of Book II -- The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers.

The Game Mechanics of LOTRO allow the player to simply and easily move between the two locations depicting the two events.

• Note that Chickens can access these way-points!

Stable-Master connections

• For Nan Curunír before the flooding, Dagoras' Camp has a stable master that connects to both Galtrev and Grimbold's Camp.
• For Nan Curunír after the flooding, there is a single stable master that connects to Aldburg and to Helm's Deep.

Note that it is not possible to travel directly between the two Nan Curunír stable masters, as they exist in different time periods, and Dagoras' Camp has been abandoned by the time of the flooding.

Before the Battle of the Hornburg

West Rohan was introduced with Update 12, the Helm's Deep Expansion.

• From Grimbold's Camp in the Gap of Rohan at the Fords of Isen Before the battle (February 25) - Volume III, Book 5: The Prince of Rohan Category:Vol. III. Book 5 Quests -- Ride to the gate blocking the passage on the opposite side of the ford. -- This takes you to the Fords of Isen in Westfold in West Rohan, after the battle.

Near the Rohirrim Soldier, ^{[88.1S, 2.1W]}, he says:

"Approach the gate to reach the lands to the East."

"Approach the gate and I will open it for you."

After the Battle of the Hornburg

The Gap of Rohan was introduced with Update 4, the Rise of Isengard Expansion.

Waypoint headed west

• From from Westfold and The Fords of Isen After the battle of March 2 when Saruman's army overwhelmed the Rohirrim --

Cross the ford and ride toward Grimbold's Camp, turn west, toward River Watch (to the left) and a fallen tree -- This takes you to the Gap of Rohan outside Grimbold's Camp.

Near the Rohirrim Soldier, ^{[54.5S, 91.2W]}, he says:

"You must climb over this fallen tree to go further west."

• From this point, you travel north (opposite direction) to get to Isengard to begin Category: Fangorn Quests for Quest: A Dreary, Untidy Mess

Land Connections

Nan Curunír

The Stonedeans lie beyond this pass from the FLooded Isengard

• From Isengard (after) - A connection to the Stonedeans - travel up through the "notch" past the Huorn of Fangorn Forest ^{[47.2S, 86.8W]}

Approximate arrival area: ^{[46.4S, 81.9W]} -- on the path behind the Mead Hall of Woodhurst.

Returning takes you to Entwood.

Entwood

• From Entwood ^{[38.4S, 77.3W]} connection of the Eaves of Fangorn -- near the defiled pond ^{[38.4S, 77.1W]}

The pass between the Stonedeans and the Entwood

• From Entwood ^{[44.7S, 78.7W]} connection to Stonedeans ^{[45.2S, 78.6W]} -- on path behind the Mead Hall of Woodhurst.

The pass between the Broadacres and the Entwood

• From Entwood ^{[42.9S, 77.2W]} connection to Broadacres ^{[43.0S, 77.0W]} behind Torsbury at East Fangorn.
