Dol Baran is a landmark within Heathfells in Gap of Rohan. [88.4S, 6.8W]
Dol Baran is the hilltop site of a battle between the Rohirrim and the Dunlendings. Dol Baran's strategic importance is largely due to the view it gives of Wulf's Cleft (for the Rohirrim) and the Fords of the Isen (for the Dunlendings).
