Overview
The Veil of the Nine is a special event exclusive to the legendary servers of Angmar and Mordor that launched on August 1, 2024.
During the event, the Nazgûl and lesser nameless wraiths will sometimes spawn in the landscape during combat (at least five levels above or below the player's level). The ringwraiths are especially powerful and players must work together to drive them and their lesser minions back to the darkness. If defeated in battle, players cannot revive, but instead must retreat. Ringwraiths leave the battlefield if they are not defeated within 30 minutes.
Adventurers will also come across some of the lesser rings of power in their travels, which they can use to combat the Nazgûl effectively. In addition to the Nazgûl spawning by chance in the landscape, shadow rifts can also spawn, allowing access into the Shadows..., a special arena in the Wraith-world where the Nine may also be fought. The Nine operate on a 30 minute timeframe here as well. Players may retreat and spawn right back into the arena without penalty. However, shortly after the Nazgûl has retreated or been defeated, all players will be respawned in the open world.
Defeating the wraiths rewards players with currency that can be bartered with an NPC in Esteldín, Amelia. The goods Amelia offers changes depending on the current server cap, among them including gear, jewellry, cosmetics, and housing decorations among other things.
