The Endless Stair is a landmark within Foundations of Stone, in Moria. Parts of it are also visible from southern Nud-melek, and from the north end of Jazargund in Durin's Way, but the gaps cannot be jumped. Access to the bottom portion is in the Foundations of Stone. ^{[15.0S, 99.0W]}

This stair was rumoured to have been built up through a natural passage that ran from the deepest caverns of Khazad-dûm to Durin's Tower in the frozen heights of Zirakzigil, far above. Here at the bottom, parts of it appear to have recently been shattered by some terrible force.

During the 11th Anniversary of LOTRO, we meet a dwarf at the base of the Endless Stair in the Foundations of Stone who tells us:

Frethi: Well met, fellow explorer! This here before us is the Endless Stair, carved in the time of Durin himself! It is said to reach from the deepest halls of Khazad-dûm all the way to the Durin's Tower, at the peak of Zirkzigil. Aye, it may have once, but in its current state no one can climb that far. Parts of it were destroyed in a great battle! Perhaps one day, when Durin's Folk once again retake Khazad-dûm, we will restore this great stair and the tower on high.
