Bestowal Dialogue

Voice on the Wind
"Raphûz intends on finding Ashâmi, fearing she headed to her death because of his actions."

Background

Raphûz asked you to accompany him to find Ashâmi. He wanted to apologize to the woman and to help her.

Objective 1

  • Speak with Raphûz to begin the search for Ashâmi
  • Assist and protect Raphûz as you search for Ashâmi

Raphûz is preparing for battle through the grove to find Ashâmi.

Raphûz says, "Come, <name>, and be careful. It is said the spirits here are filled with wrath."
You found Ashâmi

Objective 2

  • Cautiously approach Ashâmi

You and Raphûz discovered Ashâmai amongst a section of dead trees in the grove. She does not look happy to see you. Approach her and allow Raphûz to explain why you are here.

Objective 3

  • Wait for Raphûz and Ashâmi to finish speaking

You approached Ashâmi in the ruined grove. Allow Raphûz and her to speak.

Ashâmi says, "You fools. Why did you follow me? This oasis is no place for Shagâni. Moreso for outsiders."
Raphûz says, "I came only to apologize and tell you how you inspired me."
Ashâmi says, "Be brief. The night is a dangerous time in this grove."
Raphûz says, "Very well. I came to Shagâna to honour the memory of my father and restore his name."
Raphûz says, "Our expedition into your lands means to prevent a common enemy from rising to greater power."
Raphûz says, "My role, my job, was to catalogue and preserve the histories of your land."
Ashâmi says, "Was?"
Raphûz says, "Yes. Your independence inspired me to seek my own. I left my post to speak with you. To learn about you properly."
Ashâmi says, "You know nothing of me."
Raphûz says, "It is true. I know very little about you. I, however, want to learn more if you allow me."
Ashâmi says, "There is no time for this childish nonsense. The Alad I seek is here."
Raphûz says, "The Aladi are real?"
Ashâmi says, "All stories in Shagâna are rooted in truth. Prepare yourselves. Should you survive this battle, I will speak with you."
Ashâmi, begrudgingly, accepts your assistance

Objective 4

  • Defeat the Alad of Er-atûr
  • Assist Ashâmi and Raphûz to defeat the Alad
  • Help Ashâmi and Raphûz overcome the Alad

Ashâmi is concerned you and Raphûz are over-matched in the fallen grove. She warns that the Alad is a powerful creature and suggests you may not survive this attack.

Ashâmi says, "I pray you are half the warriors as you are fools. This enemy is a true threat. Help me or stay out of my way."
'Come, daughter of Mashûli, pay the price for entering my grove!'
Alad of Er-atûr says, "Arise wrathful, and sup upon the living!"
Alad of Er-atûr says, "Rise again, my wrathful spirits. Destroy these interlopers."
You have defeated the Alad of Er-atûr

Objective 5

  • Speak with Raphûz

Ashâmi begins the grisly business of collecting a trophy from the Alad. Raphûz shifts nervously.

Objective 6

  • Allow Ashâmi and Raphûz to finish their discussion

Ashâmi finishes her task and she and Raphûz move to speak to one another. Allow them to have their conversation.

Ashâmi says, "You are both more capable than I expected."
Ashâmi says, "My father's belief in the tales of Shagâna is profound. He believes my anger is because I am controlled by an Alad."
Raphûz says, "What do you intend to do with... that?"
Ashâmi says, "I will send this head to my father, proving I am under no creature's control."
Ashâmi says, "My decision is my own. My mind is my own."
Ashâmi says, "I will not return to him. I will not kneel like my sister to his will."
Ashâmi, seeing Raphûz's reaction, offers a wry smile.
Ashâmi says, "We will talk along the path to the Elven refuge of Shonith."
Ashâmi begins to make her way toward Shonith

Objective 7

  • Speak with Raphûz

As Ashâmi begins to walk away, Raphûz looks at you excitedly and smiles. You should speak with him.

Raphûz follows Ashâmi
