Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue

'I am not the only one who has found these pebbles to be of interest! Many of the enemies we have faced in Gundabad also seem attracted to the colorful stones, and I have noticed that some of them carry such pebbles on their persons as they travel on their various errands through every region of the caves.

'Could you collect for me such of these pebbles as you can find, <name>? Do not go out of your way for them, but as you complete tasks for Prince Durin and defeat the foes of the Gabil'akkâ, search their bodies for suitable colorful stones and them to the pouch in which I collect them. It will be easy, and you will be helping not only the Gabil'akkâ but also your good friend Bróin! It is not just one excellent purpose... but two!

'Thank you, my friend. I will owe you a favour for each pebble you find! Is that not worth something? I will meet you in Máttugard when you have filled the pouch with stones.'

Background

Bróin has noticed that the foes of the Gabil'akkâ often pick up these coloured stones scattered throughout Gundabad, and he thinks you might help him with his own goal while still helping the overall effort of his people.

Objective 1

Bróin has asked you to collect any colorful stones you find from the enemies you face on behalf of the Gabil'akkâ throughout Gundabad.

Found a blue stone!
Found a green stone!
Found a white stone!
Found a yellow stone!

Objective 2

Bróin is at Maergrind in Máttugard, eager to see how many stones you were able to find.

Bróin: 'Perfect! I can tell from the heft of this pouch that you found many of the stones I sought, and indeed you have found more than any of the others who gathered pebbles for me!
'Aye, I asked some others to gather colorful stones, <name>. Did you think you were the only one? It is such a large mosaic, and so many stones are missing! But you are my favourite, and have done the best, good <race>.
'Perhaps you should check in with Prince Durin? There was quite a commotion a short time ago. I think something has happened.'

  • Talk to Durin at Maergrind in Máttugard

Durin is at Maergrind in Máttugard.

Durin: 'You have come back at just the right time, <name>.
'While you were away... my guards caught a prisoner.'
