A Message in Mithril "The Longbeards are under attack! We must come to their aid!" Background On your return to Máttugard with Imák and Venko, you discover that the dwarves at Maergrind are under attack by the forces of Gorgar! Objective 1 Talk to Venko Venko and Imák are ready to join the fight! Venko: 'We must reach Prince Ingór and Prince Durin! This way, my friends!' Objective 2 Fight alongside Imák and Venko Venko and Imák are ready to join the fight! Venko says, "Follow me!" Thettmárr says, "My friend... is that you...?" Objective 3 Hear Thettmárr's dying words Thettmárr has suffered grievous injury at the hands of the attacking Orcs, and will not long survive. Thettmárr: '<name>... you have to protect the prince... he is in great danger!' Thettmárr leans back and closes his eyes, seeking relief from the pain. 'Tell Líkmund... I forgive his debt... it was never about the...' Objective 4 Talk to Imák Imák knows there is no time to be spent on grief. Imák: 'There is no time to mourn, <name>. We must press on!' Objective 5 Fight alongside Imák and Venko Imák knows there is no time to be spent on grief. Imák says, "Hurry!" Venko says, "Prince Ingór!" Objective 6 Talk to Prince Ingór Prince Ingór requests your help in the middle of the battle. Ingór: '<name>! The Orcs launched this attack upon the Gabil'akkâ while you were away, but I have not yet seen Gorgar among his warriors. He must be here somewhere! 'Let your companions remain here to fortify our defences! I need you to come with me in search of the Orc leader!' Objective 7 Fight alongside Prince Ingór Prince Ingór requests your help in the middle of the battle. Prince Ingór says, "Come with me! We will find Gorgar and put an end to him!" Prince Ingór says, "Look! Up ahead!" Prince Durin says, "Gorgar! Let us end this now!" Objective 8 Remain on your guard Gorgar has emerged from the ranks of the Orcs to challenge the dwarves for control of Gundabad! Gorgar the Ruthless says, "It will be my pleasure, Princeling!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "My hammer thirsts for royal dwarf-blood!" Stóthkell says, "Wait! Wait, my prince!" Prince Durin says, "Stand aside, Forge-master." Prince Durin says, "I have nothing to fear from this pretender." Stóthkell says, "Where did you find that hammer, Orc?" Stóthkell says, "It is made of mithril, and is dirtied by your touch!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "Is it, now?" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "Why then does it delight in the slaying of dwarves?" Prince Durin says, "Stóthkell!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "Ha ha ha ha ha!" Prince Durin says, "You will pay for this, Gorgar. You will pay with your life!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "There is something about you, Princeling... what is it?" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "Are you the same as I am?" Prince Durin says, "We are nothing alike, pretender!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "I'd say this is message enough, boys!" Gorgar the Ruthless says, "I will be back for you, Princeling. And my hammer will sing again!" Prince Ingór says, "They are escaping! Zhélruka, attack!" Objective 9 Talk to Stóthkell Stóthkell has been grievously wounded by the mithril hammer wielded by Gorgar the Ruthless, and will not long survive. It is too late. Stóthkell is dead.
