Kighân (Shagâni for Shornvale) is a region belonging to the territory of Mûr Ghala, part of Shagâna of northern Harad, in the land of Haradwaith. Kighân's landscape is composted of ridges, vales, farmlands, savannah, and arid gorges. It is the location of Zajâna, the city of scholars, and is the site of conflict between the native Shagâni people and invading Ordâkhai. Part of the vale has also been affected by the blight of Adagím, though it escaped the worst effects of the Great Dearth affecting the lands further west. The Barûg river runs north across the savannah and is the source of fresh drinking water and nourishment for animals and local crops. Kighân, once the crossroads and bread basket of Mûr Ghala, suffered greatly through the cataclysm wrought by Ordakhai Sorcerers and the occupation that followed. However, in Zajâna, a great city and center of trade, the din of discontent grows. The storied history of the regions' former kingdom stirs the people to action once more. The Doorwards hold sway here and as they reforge old alliances, they aim to overthrow their occupiers and will aid those who aid them.
Previews
Kighân was announced to be added to the game on the Cave Troll Stream of August 15th 2025, at about the 55-minute mark. Three other regions were also announced: An Shêru, Adagím, and Idagâl. It will be introduced with the Kingdoms of Harad expansion launched on December 3rd 2025.[1]
In the Casual Stroll walkthrough stream of the region, the areas of Ghun Shâna, the Wrothfells, Fields of Sârhazai, and Khadakh Lûr were shown, as well as the following locations: the fishing village of Sen Chatâk, the Hold of Jalkila, Charganpâta, the goblin camp of Glúkroz, the great gate of Khab Antâx, Sâkhazai, the village of Ingar-garâsh, the blighted grove of Shádhag, the wasp nest Medân Makhai, Jag Golód, Dân Shatagan, the farming settlement of Sormedân, and the Ordâkhai camp Bâdrasag.[2]
