Varthmath

Description

Varthmath is a Beorning of the line of mighty Beorn. He lives at Beorninghús with his chieftain Grimbeorn and others of his kin. He states that Beorn once came from the mountains, and wishes to return there one day.

Beorning characters first encounter him during the Beorning intro instance at Meadhollow and later in the Orc-watch, in the Redhorn Lodes. ^{[11.1S, 106.7W]}

Varthmath can be found near Beorninghús in Meadhollow. During part of the quest chain Through the Vale he can be found atop the Carrock at ^{[13.1N, 58.4W]}, and he later appears on the old dock of the Gladdenmere at ^{[0.5N, 65.2W]} as well.

Varthmath arrives to aid the Gabil'akkâ during the War of Three Peaks, along with his cousin and several of his kin from the Wells of Langflood. He can be found outside Zarkul-sulûn with Langhár.

Varthmath (Máttugard)

Having become fond of the Iron Garrison during his stay in Moria, Varthmath chooses to join the expedition into Gundabad itself. He can initially be found at Maergrind, the Noble Gate, but travels throughout Máttugard seeking to understand the source of the gredbyg's strange frenzy.
