Dvergvát is a lake in Elderslade. It lies south of the gates of Gundabad. A large island named Grytholm sits in the middle. This has a cave where bats are breed and trained.

The lake is fed by five separate rivers. The Kurdushâlak may contribute its waters to the lake as well, though since its latter course is underground it is not clear where exactly it emerges. Only one river originates here, the Anduin River.
