Rendal is a former Ranger. He keeps a house in Herne, but is often out and about on errands typical of a Ranger, for all he left their ranks, believing they kept themselves too aloof from the people they profess to protect. He is first met at Sírlond outside Caranost, but later travels to Gaervarad before returning to his home with Watcyn.
