'Hail, traveller. Do you know of athelas? Kingsfoil, I mean. The weed?

'I found this man -- Watcyn -- injured in Caranost. I need to stay a bit longer to keep an eye on him, but once his condition has steadied, I'll go looking for athelas.

'We could work together to gather more -- if you don't mind, that is. There should be athelas growing around the pool nearby, just to the east.'

'Never mind, I haven't got a mind for healing and the like. Just give it here, and I'll make sure Rendal receives it.

'That man's a strange one; he carried me out of Caranost and still hasn't asked for a reward. What kind of person would venture into an Orc-infested ruin and -- erm, you're asking how I ended up there myself? The Orcs, of course!

'What I mean to say is, there's got to be a catch to Rendal's kindness. Come on, aren't you just a bit curious? His belongings are just lying over there, next to the tent!

'I'd go digging around myself, but -- ' Watcyn winces. 'Well, you get the idea.'
