Effects

 Retaliation must be applied on the Guardian for this skill to be used.

If  Deep Wound (applied by  Thrust) is applied on the enemy target, this skill replaces the effect with  Terrible Wound.

Skill Interactions

Overwhelm is part of the Guardian's response chain. It becomes available following the use of either  Breach or  Whirling Breach. When traited, it allows  To The King to be used within 6s.

When traited,  War-chant reduces the active cooldown of this skill by up to 5 seconds.

Armour Set Interactions

Equipping 2 pieces of the Umbari Armour of the Crocodile armour set acquired from the Depths of Mâkhda Khorbo Raid increases the Bleed damage of this skill by 5%.
Equipping 6 pieces of the Umbari Armour of the Crocodile armour set increases the Critical Chance of this skill by 5% and makes it no longer consume Deep Wound from the enemy target.

Tactical Information

Overwhelm is a strong single target damage skill for the Red Guardian. Because it upgrades the bleed applied from Thrust, this skill should generally be used only when Deep Wound is applied to the enemy target.
