Effects

If Deep Wound (applied by Thrust) is applied on the enemy target, this skill replaces the effect with Terrible Wound.

Skill Interactions

Overwhelm is part of the Guardian's response chain. It becomes available following the use of either Breach or Whirling Breach. When traited, it allows To The King to be used within 6s.

When traited, War-chant reduces the active cooldown of this skill by up to 5 seconds.

Trait Interactions

The trait Deeper Wounds in the Keen Blade trait tree increases the duration of Terrible Wound by up to 6s, and increases the bleed damage by up to 15%.
The set bonus Bleed Them Dry in the Keen Blade trait tree increases the duration of Terrible Wound by 4s.
The trait Tireless Blows in the Keen Blade trait tree makes this skill have up to a 50% chance to reset the active cooldown of Brutal Assault.
The trait Invigourating Response in the Keen Blade trait tree makes this skill restore up to 4% maximum Power upon a critical hit.
The trait Demoralizing Anthem in the Fighter of Shadow trait tree makes War-chant reduce the active cooldown of this skill by up to 5s.
The trait Singular Focus in the Fighter of Shadow trait tree makes this skill apply Singular Focus - Debuff to the enemy target upon critical hit.
The trait Thrill of Battle in the Keen Blade trait tree makes this skill apply Thrill of Battle to the Guardian, up to 5 times. If this skill lands as a critical hit, all stacks are removed.
The trait Tenderize in the Fighter of Shadow trait tree makes this skill grant the Guardian a stack of Tenderize, up to 5 stacks.

Tracery Interactions

Overwhelm Damage & Critical Chance increases the damage of this skill by up to 38.5% and the critical chance by up to 5.5%.
Parry Response Damage increases the damage of this skill by up to 38.5%.

Armour Set Interactions

Equipping 2 pieces of the Umbari Armour of the Crocodile armour set acquired from the Depths of Mâkhda Khorbo Raid increases the Bleed damage of this skill by 5%.
Equipping 6 pieces of the Umbari Armour of the Crocodile armour set increases the Critical Chance of this skill by 5% and makes it no longer consume Deep Wound from the enemy target.
Equipping both pieces of the Insignia of the Iron Tower jewellery set acquired from the Legacy of Morgoth Instance Cluster increases the damage of this skill by 5%.

Tactical Information

Overwhelm is a strong single target damage skill for the Red Guardian. Because it upgrades the bleed applied from Thrust, this skill should generally be used only when Deep Wound is applied to the enemy target.
