Either Parry Response or Block Response must be applied on the Guardian for this skill to be used.
Skill Interactions
Catch a Breath is part of the Guardian's parry and block chains. It becomes available following the use of the following skills:
- Shield-blow
- Breach (The Keen Blade)
- Whirling Breach (The Keen Blade)
- Relentless Fury (The Keen Blade)
It also becomes available if the Guardian blocks or parries an attack.
When traited, War-chant reduces the active cooldown of this skill by up to 5 seconds.
Trait Interactions
- The trait Demoralizing Anthem in the Fighter of Shadow trait tree makes War-chant reduce the active cooldown of this skill by up to 5s.
Tracery Interactions
- Catch a Breath Cooldown & Heal reduces the cooldown of this skill by up to 18.7s and increases the healing by up to 16.5%.
Tactical Information
Catch a Breath is a self-heal for all Guardians. For consistency, this skill is commonly used after skills like Shield-blow and Force Opening. To reduce the cooldown of this skill, War-chant should be used as much as possible (when traited).
