Description
The Barrens of Ubâd is an area within Khûd Zagin, in Haradwaith.
The southeastern cliffs of Khûd Zagin separate most of the dry desert of the Imênki Waste from the from the swift-flowing waters of the Barûg river, keeping the humidity away from the arid lands of the west. In the north, the cliffs of eastern Tûl Kesh where the bridge across the river is form another natural border, and the mist from the rapids of Barûg allow for greenery to grow amid the barrens. The most startling example of this is in the Kintai valley of Shonith, where a lush oasis lies tucked in a crook of the barrens, colors the land in verdant green. The Road of Riches run south through the barrens, heading into the lands of Mûr Ghala, overlooked by the armed Ordâkhai of the fortress of Phûrakoth. While it is possible to cross the Barûg into haunted Tir Khûl in a few spots, the many cliffs, drops and rapids discourage this means of travel.
