Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue Ambush at Echad Taerdim "We return now to Echad Taerdim, but something is amiss. There is a foul smell on the air... the smell of death." Background You return to Mablung's camp with Legolas and Atli, but something is wrong. Objective 1 Talk to Legolas Legolas would like to return to Echad Taerdim. You should talk to Legolas. Legolas: 'Come, <name>, let us deliver Atli to the care of the Rangers.' Objective 2 Travel to Echad Taerdim with Legolas and Atli Legolas would like to return to Echad Taerdim. You should travel with Legolas and Atli to the Ranger camp. Atli Spider-bane says, "You say that like I'm some helpless babe! I'm fine!" Legolas says, "You are not fine, and you are lucky I have experience with the spiders of Mirkwood." Legolas says, "You are lucky too, that I was the one to come to your aid. Their venom can be deadly." Legolas says, "Hold. I hear something ahead. The camp is under attack!" Atli Spider-bane says, "What now? Spiders?" Legolas says, "No, I hear the clash of steel upon steel. We must hurry!" Mablung shouts, "Push them back! These uruks are no match for the Rangers of Ithilien!" The camp is under attack! Objective 3 Defend the camp Strange uruks are attacking the Ranger camp. Defend the camp! Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "That is enough. Return to me, Bloodless." The uruks fall back! Objective 4 Listen to Rûkhor The uruks have fallen back, but a strange man has appeared above the camp. You should listen to Rûkhor. Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "Bratha Tasakh, do you desire the freedom of the Ungoladan in their keeping?" Bratha Tasakh shouts, "He is no longer one of us. He can die at the hands of these outsiders." Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "Hmm. As you wish." Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "Let this attack be a warning, Men of Gondor." Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "Cirith Ungol is my domain, and you are not welcome." Rûkhor the Pale Herald shouts, "Interfere in my plans, and the Bloodless will destroy you." Rûkhor and his forces depart Mablung says,"It seems we are not alone with the spiders in this place. Is everyone all right?" Objective 4 Talk to Mablung The attack has been repelled. You should talk to Mablung. Mablung: 'A few of my Rangers are wounded, but no deaths. Rûkhor surely could have taken us all out if he wished. Is he toying with us?' Mablung: 'Come, we must tend to the wounded and assess the damage to the camp.'
