Rathon can be found near the entrance to the Citadel, in the Sixth Circle [58.8N, 17.9E] A water bucket can be found at the end of each ramp leading from one circle into another. Duinhir can be found in the northern part of the Second Circle [61.0N, 18.1E]

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'The armies of Mordor have catapulted flaming stones onto the city, and the fires threaten to spread! My men have set water buckets on each level, but there are simply not enough to go around. 'If you can help put out the blazes before they spread, you would be doing the city a great service. Quickly, <name>! Start here in the Sixth Circle, and use one of the water buckets to put out the flaming stones, and then work your way down the city, level by level. There will be water buckets near the ramps down from each Circle, but they may not be near enough to the fires... unless you hurry! 'Go with my blessing, friend! We cannot fight both the fires and our foes at the same time. We must control the blazes before the enemy gets into the city!' Background Rathon, the Warden of the Wells, has his hands full trying to keep the fires in Minas Tirith from spreading out of control. Objective 1 Pick up a water bucket in the besieged city A burning stone landed in the Sixth Circle. Rathon wanted you to pick up a water bucket and use that to extinguish the stone. Minas Tirith is besieged! You may examine the model of the city in the Dome of the Stars to travel between states of the city. Rathon: 'Put out the blazes before they spread, <name>! Objective 3 Pick up a water bucket in the besieged city A burning stone landed in the Fourth Circle. Rathon wanted you to pick up a water bucket and use that to extinguish the stone. You extinguish the stone, and Forlong calls out to you happily Objective 4 Talk to Forlong in the Fourth Circle of the besieged city Talk to Golasgil in the Fourth Circle of the besieged city Forlong and Golasgil are in the Fourth Circle of the besieged city, and have sought to get your attention. Minas Tirith is besieged! You may examine the model of the city in the Dome of the Stars to travel between states of the city. Forlong: 'Ha! <name>, how do you fare? This gets the blood flowing, does it not? It puts me in mind of any number of great adventures, and I look forward to adding to my list of great deeds! 'Golasgil here does not share my enthusiasm, so I have resolved to have enough for the both of us! Let the enemy gain the wall and we'll see how many of them it will take to wipe the smile off my face and the laughter from my lips... more than they've brought, I wager!' Golasgil: 'An air of doom hangs over the city, but my companion here does not seem to care! Does he not realize that this night could spell the end for Minas Tirith, and for Gondor? We are surrounded! The gate has never fallen, but there has never been an army on the Pelennor like the one that fills it now! 'I cannot explain Forlong's disposition. I cannot even understand it!' Objective 5 Pick up a water bucket in the besieged city A burning stone landed in the Third Circle. Rathon wanted you to pick up a water bucket and use that to extinguish the stone. Minas Tirith is besieged! You may examine the model of the city in the Dome of the Stars to travel between states of the city. Forlong: 'Ha ha ha! I am ready for anything the hosts of Mordor wish to throw at us!' Golasgil: 'I cannot bear to look. What awaits us in the hours to come?' You extinguished the burning stone! Objective 6 Pick up a water bucket in the besieged city A burning stone landed in the Second Circle. Rathon wanted you to pick up a water bucket and use that to extinguish the stone. Objective 7 Talk to Duinhir in the Second Circle of the besieged city Duinhir and his sons are in the Second Circle of the besieged city, and have sought to get your attention. Duinhir: 'It is good to see you are making yourself useful, friend. My sons wanted to charge out of the city and take on the enemy by themselves. Their hearts burn for battle, but I have set them to more reasonable tasks. 'When that great ball came down, trailing fire behind it, it took a large bite from the wall. For now my sons work to shore up the defences, and repair what they can. They grumble about it, but I know there will be fighting before the night is over. They will have their chance. 'I hope you will be ready as well, when that time comes. It will not be long now, <class>!'
