Mur Shatraug, the Witch-gate

Mur Shatraug, the Witch-gate is within the Pit of Stonejaws in Gundabad. ^{[38.1S, 111.8W]}

Though now known as Mur Shatraug, the Witch-gate, this was once the east-gate of Mount Gundabad. When Angmar, at the height of its power, stretched well to the east of the Misty Mountains, the gate was claimed and built upon by the Angmarim. It now leads from the highest reaches of the Pit of Stonejaws into Câr Bronach, where the gate's exterior façade overlooks the Sorrowglen.
