Trait Interactions
- The trait Feral in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes the Lore-master gain the Feral - Bear effect while this Pet is summoned.
- The set bonus Fellowship Friend in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes this Pet apply Fellowship Friend - Bear to the fellowship upon a critical hit.
- Specializing in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes this pet apply the Coordination buff to the Lore-master upon a critical hit.
- The trait Critical Coordination in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes this pet apply the Critical Coordination buff to the Lore-master upon a critical hit. When this effect is consumed, the Lore-master gains Critical Coordination - Recovery, preventing additional crit procs for 15 seconds.
- The trait Don't You Touch Him! in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes the Lore-master gain the Don't You Touch Them! damage buff whenever this Pet is hit by a critical attack. Further ranks improve the potency of the buff by up to 10%.
- The trait Unwearied Companions in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes this Pet spawn with the Unwearied Companion bubble. Further ranks improve the bubble potency by up to 200%.
- The trait After-battle Treat in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes this Pet gain the Hearty Snack damage buff upon enemy defeat. Further ranks increase the potency of this effect by up to 5%.
- The trait Loyalty in the Keeper of Animals trait tree makes your Pet sacrifice 5% of its Morale to heal 5% of the Lore-master's Morale upon receiving a Critical Hit. This effect can occur once every 15s. Further ranks increases the Morale sacrificed and restored by up to 10%.
- The set bonus Bolstered Bond in the Keeper of Animals trait tree increases this Pet's Morale by 30%, damage by 35%, Power by 30%, critical chance by 10%, mitigations by 5%, resistance by 5%, evade by 7%, and parry by 3%.
- The trait Survival Instinct in the Keeper of Animals trait tree increases the Morale of this Pet by up to 25% and reduces all incoming damage by up to 5%.
- The trait Hunting Instinct in the Keeper of Animals trait tree increases the damage of this Pet by up to 10% and reduces its attack duration by up to 5%.
- The trait Prepare for War in the Keeper of Animals trait tree increases the damage of this Pet by up to 8%.

Equipping 2 pieces of the Umbari Armour of Beasts armour set acquired from the Depths of Mâkhda Khorbo Raid increases the Morale of this pet by 5% and reduces its incoming damage by 5%.
Equipping 4 pieces of the Umbari Armour of Beasts armour set increases the duration of Fellowship Friend - Bear by 5 seconds.
Tactical Information
The Bear is the tankiest of the Lore-master's Pets. This pet is most commonly used by Yellow-line Lore-masters to provide defensive support for the fellowship with Shatter Arms. Roaring Challenge is more useful in a landscape group, but not as strong once in a full fellowship.
