Tactical Information

Essay of Fire is one of the two most powerful Fire damaging abilities alongside Smouldering Wrath. It also has the bonus of making your next fire skill have no induction. If auto-attacks are turned off and skills are pressed quickly, two skills can be chained together.

The primary candidates to use this on are Scathing Mockery, Combustion, and Essence of Flame. If two or more these skills are on cooldown, consider using on Distracting Flame, Writ of Fire, or Fiery Ridicule.

Although Smouldering Wrath is a fire skill, it will not consume the Essay of Fire effect. So, a Rune-keeper could use Essay of Fire - Smouldering Wrath - (Skills without induction).

Be wary of waiting too long to use it, as Volcanic Runestone will consume the effect despite it having no induction.
