I am all confused by the quest-groups in Moria. The LB says one thing while the quests read something else. I will repent and revert every mistake if required. However, this is a summary I came across somewhere ;)
- Moria Upper Levels
- Moria Central Halls
- Moria Lower Deeps
But the bigger question, what does the quest log reads? Is LB correct or not? -- Zimoon (talk) 16:40, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
- Some digging Seems to indicate that all Moria quests for the questgroup parameter they should have the region, such as Zelem-melek. However, a few of them must manually be added to Moria Upper/Central/Lower X as well. Am I off track? -- Zimoon (talk) 14:48, 30 October 2011 (EDT)
- I don't really know how the quest organization works here, but I do know that the organization of all the Moria quests was redone with RoI. In my quest log all the Moria quests are sorted by the narrower region. (Moria: Durin's Way, Moria: Foundations of Stone, etc.) On the couple quests I've checked this matches the category in the Lorebook. The broader categories such as "Moria Lower Deeps" don't exist in the quest log any more, but they do still exist as tabs in the Deed log. The questing deeds have been broken down from Wanderer of the Central Levels (for example) to "Quests of the Redhorn Lodes" and a couple others. Confusingly, the old deeds still exist for all characters who finished them before the update.
- I'm just reporting what is true in the game. How much of this has already been changed in the wiki, or what needs to be changed, I have no idea. -- Elinnea (talk) 16:55, 30 October 2011 (EDT)
- You just confirmed my suspicion, but I had the option of editor-gone-wild as well ;)
- OK, that means that we can go ahead and use startinglocation as well. Which will add to the "parent location" up to regional level. The change right now would be to rectify the questgroup parameter. But I see no need to do that right away, we are considering not so small improvements to the quest info-box template which will automagically fix the categorisation issue, but the questgroups must be fixed either way and it does neither break nor add to do that now or later. More news in due time ;)
- Big thanks for your reply!!! -- Zimoon (talk) 17:03, 30 October 2011 (EDT)
